Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (/ˈaɪlɪʃ/[1]; born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. Eilish first gained recognition with the song "Ocean Eyes", which served as the lead single to her debut EP, Don't Smile at Me (2017). Upon its release, Don't Smile at Me proved successful, peaking within the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. On March 29, 2019, Eilish released her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The album was an instant hit, topping both the US Billboard 200 and the UK's chart; it would go on to become one of 2019's best selling albums. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? spawned seven singles, four of which were certified multi-platinum in the US: "You Should See Me in a Crown", "When the Party's Over", "Bury a Friend", and "Bad Guy".
