Christopher Cross (born Christopher Charles Geppert; May 03, 1951) is an American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas. He won five Grammy Awards for his 1979 debut album of the same name. The album spawned four singles; debut single "Ride Like the Wind" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the second single, "Sailing", peaked at no. 1 and won three Grammys[1]. Cross also wrote "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" for the eponymous 1981 film, which was another No. 1 hit and won the Oscar for Best Original song[2][3]. Read more here... References
