It was released as the album's lead single on May 14, 2003 through labels Columbia Records and Music World Entertainment. "Crazy in Love" was written by both artists in collaboration with Rich Harrison and Eugene Record; the former also produced it with Beyoncé. The song features samples from The Chi-Lites' 1970 song "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)". "Crazy in Love" peaked at No. 1 in the United States and United Kingdom, and reached the top ten in various other countries worldwide. At the 2004 Grammy Awards, the song won two awards for Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. In Sing, it can be heard as Miss Crawly talks to the audition crowd in front of the Moon Theater. A group of shrimp are then seen singing the song together as their audition for Buster Moon's singing competition.
