Crystal Tower Hotel is a long and tall building with a curved design and a predominantly crystalline design motif. In front of it is a vast water fountain featuring its logo, and its exterior entrance features a towering cluster of purple crystals.
The ground floor of the hotel features a walk-through artificial garden that features fake rocks and trees and pools that guests can walk across, all surrounding a towering fake tree in the center, and with crystals hanging from the atrium ceiling. The ground level includes tubular elevators up to higher levels.
The hotel features multiple restaurants and bars, including a cocktail bar, a donut shop, an ice cream parlor, and others that have balconies that preside over the entrance floor. On the hotel's 17th floor is a restaurant that exclusively serves confections and sweets.
Inside the hotel is the Crystal Tower Theater, where Out of This World is produced and performed.
Its suite rooms are very large and consist of two floors. They feature a sunken lounge area, a bar, a kitchen, a bathroom, a balcony, and a giant television.
Outside the hotel is a jungle-themed river ride.
History
After Jimmy approves and funds the production of Out of This World, Buster Moon and his troupe are invited to stay at the hotel for the duration of its run.
Trivia
The hotel features luxury amenities, 24-hour room service, and world-class restaurants.[1]
True to its name, its architecture and interior decor are all based around crystals. This includes:
The foyer's walls being covered in geode-like purple crystals.[3]
At least one walk-through garden with crystal rock decor and artificial trees with crystalline "leaves", as well as hanging decorations from its entrance atrium.
This same style of artificial trees are also seen in Jimmy's office in Crystal Entertainment and in his personal manor.
Decorative pools of water with floating crystal lotus flowers in suites room.[4]
Recurring angular and triangular architectural motifs throughout the building, including its entrance, theater,[5][6] and bars.[7]
The Vdara hotel's curved glass design is notable for creating a "death ray" caused by "solar convergence", where all the sunlight reflected on its surface are focused together and reflected at the ground, creating dangerously high temperatures.
The large fountain in front of it is likely based on the one in front of the Bellagio.
The jungle-themed lazy river just outside it is based on similar ones found in Tahiti Village and Mandalay Bay.
Its logo is a stylized image of the building and its crystal cluster entrance. It is featured on the floor of its exterior fountain, its interior floors, security uniforms, the security card locks to its theater production backlots, and the idle screens of its security room screens.
The hotel's suite features:
The design of a city skyline at night with windows and stars that light up on the interior of its doors, and a plain starry sky on the exterior.
A large mural of the hotel itself.
Decorative pools of water with floating crystal lotus flowers in suites room.
