Aubrey Drake Graham[1] (born October 24, 1986), known by the mononym of Drake, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur[2]. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the 2001 teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. After releasing his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement (2006), Drake departed Degrassi to pursue a career as a rapper. He released independent mixtapes Comeback Season (2007) and So Far Gone (2009), before signing a contract with Young Money Entertainment[3]. In 2010, Drake released his debut album Thank Me Later, which topped the US Billboard 200 upon its release. Drake's next two albums, Take Care (2011), and Nothing Was The Same (2013) were certified multi-platinum in the US[4][5], as was his and first commercial mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late (2015). Nothing Was The Same also spawned the hit single "Hold On, We're Going Home". His fourth album, Views (2016), spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200, the first album from a male solo art to do so in a decade[6]. It also contained the successful single "Hotline Bling". Read more here... References
