"Firework" is a song by Katy Perry for her album Teenage Dream. It was co-written with Ester Dean, as well as producers StarGate and Sandy Vee. Perry described it as one of her favorite songs off of Teenage Dream. On October 26, 2010, "Firework" was released as the album's third single. Firework peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 9th, becoming Perry's fourth chart-topper in the US and third number-one single from Teenage Dream. It ultimately spent four non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 and was certified Diamond by the RIAA[1]. The song also reached number one in Canada and New Zealand, achieving multiple-platinum certification in both countries. It peaked at number three in the United Kingdom, where it has been certified 2x platinum. Firework is also Perry's fourth song to sell over 5 million digital downloads, after "Hot n Cold", "California Gurls", and "E.T.". At the 2012 Grammy Awards, "Firework" was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. In Sing, Rosita sang this as she assisted her children in the kitchen during her introduction sequence. She sang this a second time during her audition for Buster Moon's singing competition; this performance was included as part of the "Auditions" track on the Sing: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. A McDonald's Happy Meal toy of Rosita plays this song when interacted with. Lyrics[Verse 1] Read more here... References
