"Hello" is a song recorded by singer-songwriter Adele. Co-written by Adele and producer Greg Kurstin, "Hello" was serves as the lead single for the former's third album, 25 (2015), as well as the opening track for the album itself. Upon its October 23, 2015 release, "Hello" became a massive global success, topping the charts in a record-breaking 36 countries. In the United Kingdom, the song was Adele's second chart topper after "Someone Like You", and had the UK's largest opening week sales since 2012. In the United States, "Hello" stayed atop the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks, became Adele's fourth chart topping single, and was the first song to sell over one million digital copies in one week. By 2015's end, the song sold 12.3 million units worldwide, becoming the seventh best-selling single of the year. In Sing 2, a horse tried to audition for Jimmy Crystal with this song, but was rejected after singing the first word.
