Biography

Sing 2

Jerry is Jimmy Crystal's assistant who sucks up to him, catering to his every whim (despite the abuse Jimmy shows him). He is first shown helping Jimmy with the auditions for his show. After being insulted for keeping his boss waiting when it seems like all of the acts have auditioned, Jerry notices Buster Moon and his troupe peeking from behind the curtains, assumes they're the last group to audition, and tells them it's their turn. Jerry watches Mr. Crystal reject Buster's group initially, but seems impressed, along with him, at Buster's pitch for Out of This World. After the idea is approved, Jimmy orders Jerry to give Buster's group everything they need for their show.

Jerry is then shown accompanying Jimmy at all times. He also tries to stay on Jimmy's good side, such as applauding his daughter, Porsha, when she sings Girl On Fire, and following his orders without a second thought.

After Buster is called to Jimmy's office, so the latter can reprimand the former for lying to him about knowing Clay Calloway, Jerry is called in to clean up the mess Jimmy made in his rage, and says he's happy to do it.

Later, he's in Jimmy's office when Porsha is crying over being "fired" by Buster. When the koala is walking down the hall to Jimmy's office fearfully, Jerry looks up from typing on his computer. Buster looks at him, and Jerry shakes his head slowly in disapproval.

When Jimmy fails to throw Buster off of his office balcony, Jerry interrupts, reminding him of his scheduled appearance on "Hot News", and suggesting that they "put a pin" in the current situation. Jimmy then locks Buster in his closet and intends to finish him off later. He and Jerry leave to go on Linda's show. While they're gone, Suki frees Buster and advises him and his troupe to skip town. Backstage on the set of "Hot News", Jimmy tells his assistant to go fetch his snacks from his office, which he does, but then notices the closet door is open, causing him to shriek in fear of his boss' reaction. He delivers Jimmy his snacks and quietly informs him of Buster's escape. Jimmy is angry, but keeps his anger in check as he makes his appearance on the talk show.

Some time later, he wakes up from sleeping at his desk and finds out about Buster and his troupe putting on Out of This World behind Jimmy's back. Despite Jimmy's goons trying to stop Jerry, he goes to Jimmy's mansion to inform his boss, who furiously gets out of bed, naked, frightening the feline.

He, Jimmy, Jimmy's security guards, and Suki ride in a limousine on their way to the Crystal Tower Hotel. When they arrive, they are stopped by Big Daddy and his gang. Jimmy's security guards get into a fight with the gorilla gang, as Jerry and Suki watch. After Jimmy goes backstage and fails to get Porsha off the stage after he spotted her performing, he is trapped in a cage in the basement by Buster. Jimmy calls Jerry on his phone and tells him where he's at, to which Jerry declares he's coming to rescue him. Jerry uses a pair of bolt cutters to break open the cage, freeing the enraged Jimmy.

After the conclusion of Out of This World, Linda Le Bon finds Jimmy backstage, congratulates him, and calls him a genius, to which Jerry appears and agrees.

Towards the end of the movie, he shows unconditional loyalty for Jimmy Crystal when he is arrested. He chases after him, claiming that he is innocent and says that he loves him.

Quotes

"He said not now!"
— Jerry to Suki, as the latter attempts to interrupt Jimmy's conversation with Buster and his troupe

"Mr. Crystal! Mr. Crystal, wake up! I'm so sorry to wake you up, sir! It's Moon! He's taken over the theater and he's putting on a show right now!"
— Jerry, alerting Jimmy about Buster Moon putting on a show behind his back

"Mr. Crystal, where are you? (Jimmy: I'm trapped somewhere under the stage, you idiot!) I'll find you, sir. Mr. Crystal, I'm coming!"
— Jerry coming to Jimmy's aid while Big Daddy and his gang continue fighting off the security guards

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! He's innocent! Mr. Crystal, please! I love you!"
— Jerry's last words, yelling as Jimmy Crystal gets arrested after the show.
