"Lollipop" is a pop song written by Julius Dixson (sometimes spelled "Dixon") and Beverly Ross in 1958[1]. It was first recorded by the duo Ronald & Ruby - Ross herself was "Ruby" - and peaked at #20 on Billboard. The song was then covered more successfully by The Chordettes, reaching #2 and #3 on the Billboard pop and R&B charts, respectively[2]. The Chordettes' cover was also a worldwide hit, peaking at #6 in the UK. In Sing, a trio of puffins sing this song as their audition for Buster Moon's singing competition. A snippet of "Lollipop" is included as part of the "Auditions" track on the Sing: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Lyrics[Chorus] References
