Major Lazer is an American electronic dance music group founded in 2008 by DJs and record producers Diplo and Switch. In 2011, Switch left and was replaced with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. Major Lazer's music spans numerous genres, mixing reggae with dancehall, reggaeton, house, soca[1], and moombahton.[2][3][4][5]

Major Lazer has released three full length albums: 2009's Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do, which spawned the single "Pon de Floor", 2013's Free the Universe, and 2015's Peace is the Mission. They have also released five EPs, most notably 2014's Apocalypse Soon, which featured vocal contributions from Pharrell Williams and Sean Paul, and 2017's Know No Better, with guest appearances from Travis Scott, Camila Cabello, Quavo, J. Balvin, Sean Paul, Nasty C., Ice Prince, Patoranking, Jidenna, Busy Signal, Machel Montano, Konshens, and Brazilian singers Anitta and Pabllo Vittar. In addition, Major Lazer has also produced Reincarnated, the debut reggae album by Snoop Dogg under his "Snoop Lion" persona.[6]
