I just wanted to thank you for helping out with those fake articles!
Sincerest apologies for not dealing with it sooner; I was busy at the time and did not foresee such activity on a near-stagnant wiki (that's just a reason, not an excuse), but I will be more vigilant now.
I believe it would be best if we did not discuss COVID-19 on the Sing Wiki. As it has become a source of fear and controversy, I would prefer not to risk said fear and controversy leaking into to the wiki.
Thank you, and when you redirect someone (i'm using the term as it is used regarding behaviour) you're telling them what they did wrong and/or what they should be doing instead (i.e directing them toward appropriate behaviour); for example, when I see someone making an edit that's not productive or against the rules and guidelines, but it's clear that they don't know what they're doing, I give them a redirection instead of a full-on warning/punishment.
I'm not sure if other wikis do this, but I do to make things a little more fair.
No, I have not been directly copy-pasting Wikipedia articles; transcribe was a poor term to use. However, I have been using the articles as guides for how to properly summarize relevant information, as well as an easy way to find references.
The Kira Kira Killer video you uploaded to the wiki features a girl being shot with an arrow. It's forgivable this time since the gore is animated and not really that bad, but make sure you actually watch and check videos before you upload them next time.
I think there's some miscommunication here. I did not type the word girl in quotation marks because Kyary is male*, but because you used girl and not woman. Because Kyary is fairly young looking, I thought you thought she was literally a girl in the video, and I was trying to explain that the video depicted an adult dying instead of a child in case her age had as much of an affect on my warning as the blood in the video.
I haven't read anything about Kyary being transgender, and if she was I would respect her gender identity.
You're welcome! Just to let you know, the reason why I signed up in the first place was:
1. I liked the movie (...obviously) and I think this is a well put-together fansite. It's easily one of the best designed wikia/Fandom pages I've seen. But I was content to lurk, until March 2019.
2. Because I have a hobby looking at theme park attractions, I was aware that Sing on Tour was being developed in Universal Studios Japan. The attraction was announced in December 2018, but as of March 2019 there was no information about it at all on here. I figured if no one was going to post anything, it may as well be me.
That's so great! I'm not even sure if anyone here even knew about Sing on Tour, I certainly didn't!~ X3
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this wiki or how things work around here, you can of course contact me or SirBlaze (the other two administrators are inactive); I'm here every day but SirBlaze is the bureaucrat~
Ummm...Lollipop's not the only article title I added quotations to; I did this to the title of every song page I've edited; you can see them in the Song Navbox. It was the only way I could think of to add quotation marks to the song titles in the Category session of the Song Infobox, while preventing quotation mark duplication in the Infobox title. I apologize for over-editing and will try to fix what I can, especially since the "Lollipop" title below "Category" still has it's quotation marks.
Please be aware though, we have guidelines. Be sure to read them before making anymore edits.
You can also interact, and meet friends on our forums! If you want to talk to friends live, or need help from an admin, check out our chat! Please sure to read the chat guidelines first before joining the chat.
We look forward to seeing you here more at the Sing Wiki!
