Anders Peter Svensson (born October 18, 1974) is a Swedish musician, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Huskvarna, he first began playing guitar at eight years old, and in his teens he went on to play in local bands. In 1992, Svensson met bassist Magnus Sveningsson and co-founded rock band The Cardigans[1], composing most of the groups original songs. In 1998 Svensson formed the side-project Paus with Joakim Berg of the band Kent. In 1999, their first and only self-titled album and Svensson's work on The Cardigans' fourth album Gran Turismo (1998) earned him a Swedish Grammy for Composer of the Year. Svensson and Berg would co-write Swedish singer Titiyo’s fourth album, Come Along (2001). It's title track single was a big hit and won a Swedish Grammy for Song of the Year. In 2005, The Cardigans released their sixth and final album to date, Super Extra Gravity. Since then, Svensson has written and produced songs for many international artists, such as Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding, One Direction, and the Weeknd. One of the latter's songs Svensson co-wrote was "Can't Feel My Face", which was featured in Sing 2. References
