- "We can dance if we want to..."
- — Sherry-Anne
Sherry-Anne is a young female kangaroo who auditioned to be part of Buster Moon's singing competition in Sing. In her audition, she sang the 1982 song "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats. AppearanceSherry-Anne has grayish-brown fur and fluffy ears. She wears a light-pink overall dress covering a pink short-sleeved shirt, both having a white trim. She also wears a pink hair bow on her head, along with white Mary Jane shoes and pink tights. PersonalityWhile Sherry-Anne's personality has not been explored, she appears to be quite cheerful. BiographySherry-Anne's mother usually takes her out of her pouch and hangs her by her overall straps so she can reach things. This happens during her audition when she sings The Safety Dance (as well as when she orders a McDonald's Happy Meal). Her mother was furious after her daughter was eventually not selected to be a part of the singing competition. As they made their exit from the theater along with the other rejected participants, she is roughly shoved back into her mother's pouch-pocket, blaming Buster Moon's alleged incompetence and claiming her daughter will be a star one day, even without his help.
