"Sleigh Ride" is a light orchestra standard composed by Leroy Anderson. The piece was originally instrumental, with Anderson inspired to write it during a heat wave in July 1946. He completed the work in February 1948, while its first commercial recording, by Arthur Fielder and the Boston Pops Orchestra, occurred a year later[1]. In 1950, Mitchell Parish wrote lyrics for "Sleigh Ride"[2], while the first vocal version was recorded that same year by The Andrews Sisters. In Happy Holidays From Sing, "Sleigh Ride" plays at an ice rink that the Sing cast visits. However, the track is replaced with a holiday-themed dance remix of "Groove Is in the Heart" by Gunter.
