Taron David Egerton (born 10 November 1989) is a Welsh actor and singer. He is known for his role as Dennis "Asbo" Severs in the British television series The Smoke and Gary "Eggsy" Unwin in Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. He appeared in the British drama film Testament of Youth, as Edward Brittain. He also played Mad Teddy in the film Legend, starring Tom Hardy, and starred as Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards in the film Eddie the Eagle. He has also provided the voices for El-Ahrairah in the 2018 miniseries Watership Down, and Moomintroll in the 2019-2020 TV series, 'Moominvalley. Other films include Billionaire Boys Club and Robin Hood, both released in 2018, and the 2019 biopic Rocketman, where he portrays Elton John. Egerton provides the voice of Johnny in the North American release of Sing, the mini-movie Love At First Sight, and briefly in a McDonald's commercial.
